Life in Bangalore - The beginning.....

Bangalore - The Garden City. First step into the city, and we were amazed by the spectacle that met our eyes!! We were full of energy, Blessy and me (all of 21), all set to take up the first job of our lives - and geared up and excited at the thought of living on our own in a completely new city :D .. Mummy dearest accompanied us to make sure we were in safe hands before she left back to Pune. "Appu, we are going to live alone! Can you believe it" Blessy's eyes twinkled as she said that.. And I looked at her, and jumped with joy at the mere thought. Mom and both of us went hunting for houses. We found a quaint little one bedroom house and loved it! (Just the thought of staying all by ourselves would have made us like even the most crappiest place, I am sure) However, this was a pretty little place. And we were getting it at such an affordable rate that we were all set to grab the offer. Little did we know that we had a surprise (one which we didnt really enjoy at that moment) waiting for us as we trooped back to aunty's place. Staying alone ??!! "No ma no... I will not hear of it".... Aunty convinced mom that we should stay with her - you know - all the 2 girls alone in a new city stuff - Boohoo. Mom tried quite a bit, but then ultimately, much to our dismay, she gave in to aunty's ideas.. So there we were, back to where we began from. Still, the thoughts of a new city, new job, new friends, and both of us together - still kept our spirits alive.. :). and we geared up to take on life! :) ..

Vivacious, tangy, and livelyYou are one gigantic ball of energy!
What Scent Are You?

First Flight!!!!!

This is a record of my experience on a flight for the first time. It was an experience of a life time. Here goes -
Take off and Landing were amazing. I wonder how all these mechanics work so well. It was like a roller-coaster ride. I mean the take-off and landing.
Let me start right at the beginning … I entered through this air bridge .. or aero bridge .. Or whatever that is called... it was a bridge which went right into the plane entrance.... it was like walking on a ramp... and that in itself was beautiful.....
When I entered the aircraft, the airhostesses and flight attendants welcomed me and I saw a beautiful set of spacious seats and I was all excited... Then as I went ahead into the flight, it became narrower and crowded (I was like - whats this?) Then I realized, what I saw earlier was the Business class, and what I am seeing now is the economy class :D. hehehe... So that’s where I was supposed to be :P. Now, how do I reach the boxes up to put my hand luggage! I couldn’t reach that high! A flight Attendant came over, (ever so helpful, these people) took it and put it up into the boxes ...
I sat and waited with bated breath for the further proceedings. I had decided not to carry a book to read as I wanted to see how the whole flight experience was and gather whatever information I could... :) Then the announcements started and the airhostesses and flight attendants gave us buttermilk, wet towels to wipe our faces with, and started their action session about how to handle situations of danger and how to tighten seat belts, in sync with the announcement that went on in the background...
So, now ... The plane started moving and was going at a very slow speed and taking its time on the run-way, it took some turns and bumped along just like a bus... So I thought, “Well, this is just cool, no tensions! No speed. I can manage this!!! What’s so great about a flight? Is this all there is to it?”.. Interrupting these thoughts, suddenly there was this loud noise and the plane picked up this extreme speed that just took my breath away.
I was like "wow". And then it kept going and the speed kept increasing…. and then suddenly it raised its nose and flew up into the air, higher and higher! What speed man.... unbelievable.... I was looking out of the window all the while. My seat was right behind the wings. Great place to be on for a first flight! I had this weird feeling in my stomach when it rose up, and my ears got all blocked. The view below was just amazing..... The match box sized houses, and the trees and stuff. Wow... and the plane is still rising now you know, it was not yet stabilized.. Then we rose up above the clouds... and then it slowly got stabilized... My hands were still kind of feeling heavy... I lifted them and they just dropped down .. Flopped down, rather.... and then there was nothing much, it seemed as if we were standing still in the air, while actually it was at an amazing speed!
The best part was when it picked up the speed during take-off... I had never realized that it would pick up so much speed and we would actually feel it!! Oh wow... then the flight journey hardly lasted for an hour... the air hostesses and flight attendants were constantly hovering about with some eatables and drinks and lunch and stuff... and by the time we were done with our lunch, we were all set to land as well... Before we landed, the Captain spoke from his cabin and said that we are at an altitude of 30000 feet, and at a speed of 842 km/hr (I guess) which was 75% of the speed of sound (wow!).. And so on and so forth...
Then the "Tighten your seat belts, switch of your electronics, we are all set to land now" announcements came up.. And I got ready for another breath taking experience... I was waiting for a steep and sloping nose dive downwards... hehe... but it was not that sudden a drop, he maneuvered it amazingly (but of course..) ... one part of the wings opened downwards and took a convex shape from where I was sitting .... and the plane tilted sideways some two times ..... And then there was this one sudden drop down, were I actually let out a big gasp... and the uncle next to me smiled knowingly... (I had told him that this was my first flight) and he warned me that when it lands I would experience a hard jerk, so I was prepared for a big bump, but it wasn’t all that bad. And again, when it touched base, the amazing speed with which it was moving struck me, and the captain amazingly controlled the plane and brought it to a beautiful stop... And then out I went ...:) What a fascinating experience on the whole!! I enjoyed the flight to the core! Except that if it was longer than 2/3 hours, I would have got bored...
